Measure and mark a vertical center line
Align the reference points on the PerfectaStripe grid with the center line. Transfer desired verical and horizontal lines with a marking pencil.
The PerfectaStripe curve template is now aligned with the vertical centerline. Desired curves are transferred. The template is then repositioned and additional curves are marked.
Transferred curves seen above. Notice the curves overlapping the center line. This is achieved by sliding the template left then right of center and transferring curves.
Using a pinstriping brush, a teardrop is applied, and only the transferred curves are painted.
Additional lines are added freehand. Allow blue pinstriping to dry slightly.
The template is reapplied upside down, and in this case is aligned with grid marks left of center. Lines are transferred, then the template is moved to the same location but right of center.
Close-up of curves transferred from template.
The guidelines are now striped with orange.
Additional orange lines added freehand.
Even more orange is added, straying slightly from the previously pinstriped curves, yet still using the grid lines as a guide.
The finished design! Green pinstriping is added in a few locations without the use of the PerfectaStripe stencil.
